2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Over the past six weeks, we have taken an in-depth look into the Names/Titles of Jesus which afforded us a detailed picture of our Lord and Savior. His Life and Ministry as the Man, Christ Jesus, is to serve as our example for living.

Many people today believe that our lifestyle makes no difference in the eyes of God. I beg to differ. This is a false teaching that has swept across the Church and led many into destruction. The entire written Word of God is instructions on how to live our lives pleasing to God. Therefore, a God-pleasing life should be our daily and long-term goal, because, in the end, that’s all that will matter.

God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. Jesus paid the price for our Redemption on the Cross of Calvary. He also defeated all the power of the enemy in our lives at the same time. You see, sin is the problem. Sin has been the problem since the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden.

Sin is more than just a problem. It is a curse and if not Atoned for, it will ALWAYS lead to death. For the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) While it is absolutely true that Jesus died on the Cross to Atone for all the sins of the whole world, one must believe in Him, repent, and be born again to be set free from the curse of death that plagues mankind. Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

This is WHY Jesus was Incarnated, Persecuted, Crucified, and Resurrected. He went through all this so every person on earth can be Redeemed; Saved; set free from the bondage and control of sin in their life! Jesus gave His Life so we can be born again! This is the free Gift of Salvation that is available to all people. Then the Angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” (Luke 2:10) Jesus is the Gift of God to anyone who will believe in Him and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.

God, the Father, draws people to Himself. No one can come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me draws him. (John 6:44) He does this because it is His Will that everyone is Saved. The Lord is not slack concerning His Promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to Repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

When the Power of the Spirit of God to draw a person to Repentance meets the Knowledge of the Love of God and the Good News of Christ Crucified, a new person is conceived in the spirit. Just as it happens in natural conception, in that instant, a new life is conceived!

When this transformation takes place in the heart of a person, they are totally changed from the inside out. They are born again, afresh and anew! They are no longer the same person! They are totally and completely a new creation in Christ! Everything about them is different because the Holy Spirit of God has joined forces with their spirit! The Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:17)

This is God’s Plan for every human being on earth. Jesus died for all people, everywhere. The Free Gift of Salvation is available to everyone. Has the Spirit of God made contact with your spirit? Have you been born again? Are you different from the way you used to be? If you are born again, you WILL be totally different. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Jesus went to the Cross to……..….turn the tide……..in your life.

Born again! There’s really been a change in me!         Doreen
