Revelation 2:25 Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden.

 

Jesus made a great Promise to those in the church in Thyatira who stood strong against the demonic spirit of Jezebel. God knows what it takes to stand against such a powerful demonic force.

 

This is prevalent in the church today and to those who stand against it, the Promise made to those people is the same today. Jesus said Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. (Revelation 2:25)

 

We can see by His statement I will put on you no other burden. That He understands what a tremendous burden it is to be in the midst of this demon. The spirit of Jezebel is powerful, controlling, and manipulative. This spirit works through people to entice others into sexual immorality, idolatry, false teaching, and unrepentant sin stopping at nothing to have its way.

 

The spirit of Jezebel is one of the most destructive demonic spirits Satan has in his arsenal and God knows it. That’s why He told the people who stood against it that he would put no other burden on them. They had stood strong against a great burden already.

 

For those who stand against a demon such as Jezebel, God made a wonderful Promise. He said Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. But hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps My Works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—He shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels. (Revelation 2:24-27)

 

Jesus is speaking of His Second Coming and the Kingdom Age which will last for 1,000 years. We will discuss this more tomorrow, but for today please understand that those believers who stand strong against the enemy now will have a high and powerful position during the Kingdom Age. These people will have power over the nations of the world! They will actually rule over them and destroy those that need to be destroyed.

 

This is something to strive for, my friends. Will you be counted in the number that stood strong against the spirit of Jezebel? If so, your reward will be greater than anything you can imagine. The Apostle Paul said, Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13)

 

The days are evil. Are you standing? Are you committed to stand until the end? Our strength to stand in these evil times is found in our faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and His Finished Work on the Cross. His Finished Work included the destruction of the power of the enemy over us. He won the Victory for us. We don’t have to fight. We just have to stand in faith believing in the Victory He won on our behalf. Hallelujah!
