Store Up The Word

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will not pass away.

These words were spoken by Jesus and recorded by Matthew, Mark, and Luke in their Gospels. The Words of Jesus will NEVER pass away. They will never be destroyed by man or any disaster. The Word of God is everlasting and will endure forever.

Most people today do not understand the precious gift they have in the Word of God. Handed down through the ages it remains today; true and sound. There is nothing on earth as important as the Word of God. It is exactly as it is described: The Word of God given to all people by which they can know Jesus Christ, be saved, born again, forgiven of their sins, and instructed to live their lives in Righteousness. The Bible is God’s instructions for redemption and life for all of mankind.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in Righteousness; that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

John 17:17 Sanctify them in the Truth; your Word is Truth.

Colossians 3:16 Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Acts 17:11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the Word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

People can reject God’s Word but they cannot make it go away. They can refute it and call it false and not pertinent to the times, but they cannot destroy it. They can disregard it and deem it foolish, but the Word of God will never pass away.

Some time ago I watched the news, the gentleman being interviewed quoted Scripture as the basis for his belief and actions. The news commentator responded, “How foolish of you to quote an antiquated book and depend on it in this day and age.” Her response did not anger me; it greatly saddened me. How sad it is to see how our society has turned from the Word of God when it is the only real source of Truth.

The Church has allowed the government to shut them up. We still have Freedom of Speech in America and there is no greater Word to speak than the Word of God. We must turn back and speak the Word. ’s up to us, the Body of Christ, to do it. The lost people in this world are not going to quote the Bible and declare it to be true. We are God’s people and it is up to us to take a stand for Him, His Son, and His Word. If we don’t do it, who will?

Psalm 119:11 I have stored up your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Store up the Word of God in your heart and speak the Scriptures every chance you get. God said in Isaiah 55:11 So shall my Word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

The Word of God will……….turn the tide
