1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Repentance is the first step to being a Christian. Without repentance, there is no Forgiveness or Salvation. Repentance is required. Jesus told us this. Unless you repent, you will likewise perish. (Luke 13:3)
There is a huge movement in the church world today that denies repentance. These false teachers preach that repentance is not necessary. This is the work of the enemy to deceive people and cause them to die in their sin and spend eternity in Hell.
Satan has not changed his strategy. He told Eve the very same thing in the Garden of Eden. Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:3-5)
In that day, the enemy used a serpent to deceive Eve. Today, he is using people who profess to be preachers, teachers, and prophets. They are all false. They are deceivers who are being used by Satan to bring deception into the Church.
Read the Word of God for yourself. God loves you and wants you to be Saved and born again. He wants you to spend eternity in Heaven with Him and He wants you to live an Abundant Life here on earth. To do this, you MUST repent; confess your sins and turn from them.
Jesus said, If you love Me, keep My Commandments. (John 14:15) That’s what Jesus said. He means what He says. We cannot sugar-coat the Word of God and make it say something it does not say. This is not a word of condemnation. It is a word of warning based on the True Word of God. The Holy Spirit will convict our hearts of our sin. When He does, our response should always be to repent. Then, God is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Repentance will……….turn the tide……….in this world.
