Acts 14:3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the Word of His Grace, and granted Signs and Wonders to be done by their hands.

 

Paul and Barnabas stayed for quite some time in Iconium preaching the Gospel of Christ which is the Message of the Grace of God. When the true Message is preached, Miracles, Signs, and Wonders will follow. Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the Word of His Grace, and granted Signs and Wonders to be done by their hands. (Acts 14:3)

 

Many people believe that Miracles ceased with the Apostles, but this is ridiculous and cannot be substantiated by the Word of God. In fact, quite the opposite was spoken by Jesus after His Resurrection. Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen and He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My Name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.” (Mark 16:14-18)

 

Many churches today have God in a box. They do not seek Him about anything having to do with “their” church. As we said yesterday, Jesus is the Head of the Church and He should be consulted in regard to everything. In addition, He should be allowed to do whatever He deems necessary through the moving and operation of the Holy Spirit.

 

Nothing is impossible with God. He is able to do anything at any time. God is supernatural. He does supernatural things. We call these things Miracles, Signs, and Wonders. He will use people to perform supernatural things when we allow Him to do so. Unfortunately, this is not the case in most of the Church today which is no more than a ritualistic ceremony conducted by the same person week after week.

 

When is the last time you saw a Miracle in your church? Does your Pastor or other members even know God wants to perform Miracles by their Hands? This should be an everyday occurrence. This is the reason God has given us Spiritual Gifts and everyone has been given at least one Spiritual Gift. Do you know what your Spiritual Gift is? Do you understand that God wants to use you to do supernatural things? He does and He will if you will let Him out of the box!
