Colossians 2:6-7 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
This message comes to you with the warmest wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. As bad as the world is, we have much to be thankful for. As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we are sure of our Salvation and the Power of the Holy Spirit within us.
As you gather with your family and friends today, share the Word of God and the Hope of Salvation through belief in Christ and His Sacrifice on the Cross. This is their only hope and the only Hope they need.
Thanksgiving was first celebrated by the Pilgrims who came to the new world in search of Freedom and Liberty. It was due to their courage and faith that America was founded. These people knew nothing was worth more than Freedom and Liberty and they knew that this is what Christ died for them to have.
Freedom. Freedom to worship God. Freedom to speak. Freedom to assemble together. Freedom to own property. Freedom to start a business. Freedom to own a gun. Freedom to come and go as you please. Freedom. It is for Freedom in America we give thanks this day to God in Heaven who created us and set us free through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Thank be to God for our forefathers who had the faith to follow your leading and were obedient to write down on paper the documents that have served this country well for over two hundred years. We are grateful and we will stand and defend them with every fiber of our being.
John 8:36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
With all that we have to be thankful for in America, the greatest is the Sacrifice Jesus made on the Cross to set the captive free!
