1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light, who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained Mercy but now have obtained Mercy.
Every born-again believer in Christ is a member of the Body of Christ; the Church. We do not need a building to be a Church. What we do need is the Spirit of God moving and operating in the lives of people because when we have the Spirit of God ministering through people, the result will be lost souls saved, people healed from sickness and disease, and folks delivered from the bondage of sin.
The Holy Spirit of God brings the Anointing of God. Every born-again believer in Christ has the Holy Spirit dwelling within them and He brings with Him the Anointing of God which is the Power of God to change people. Without the Anointing of God, people just remain the same; there is no change.
However, when the Holy Spirit is allowed to move and operate as He sees fit, the Anointing of God (the Power) will fall on people and their lives will be changed forever. God is able to do anything. Nothing is impossible for Him when He is allowed to move and operate.
Nothing Miraculous happens in most churches today because the Holy Spirit is not welcome. These meetings are not at all what God has planned for His Church. They are just groups of people who get together once a week to sing, hear what one person has to say, visit with each other and go out to eat. This is not at all God’s Pattern for His Church.
God uses people. He has always used people. He uses those who believe in the Finished Work of His Son on the Cross of Calvary. He uses people who want to be used and will allow Him to use them. These people are those who are led by the Spirit and live their lives accordingly.
The Apostle John was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write But the Anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same Anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. (J John 2:27)
If we want to see people changed by the Power of God, we must have the Anointing of the Holy Spirit present. Isaiah wrote It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the Anointing Oil. (Isaiah 10:27)
In short, the Anointing breaks the yoke. The Holy Spirit brings the Anointing. So, without the Holy Spirit there is no Anointing, and therefore, lives are not changed. The Apostle Paul said Do not quench the Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 5:19)
The Anointing will…..…….turn the tide……….in people.
