The Benefit Of Provision
October 11, 2021, 3:00 AM

Psalm 103:5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

David wrote: Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His Benefits.(Psalms 103:2) Then he began to list the Benefits. FORGIVENESS, HEALING, DELIVERANCE, LOVING KINDNESS, MERCY.  The next Benefit for the believer is Provision. God will always provide for His children and His Provision will be GOOD! Everything God gives us is good. In this Psalm, David is speaking of food; good food.

I must say that this is a bone of contention with me. In America we eat a lot of food that is not good. In fact, a lot of it is poison and we know it. Yet we eat it. Why? Because it tastes good but is it good? No. In fact, it is harmful and in some cases, extremely harmful and deadly.

A couple of days ago, we discussed the Benefit of Healing. Jesus took 39 lashes on His Back for our Healing. The Blood He shed that day was so we don’t have to live in pain, sickness and disease and yet much of the Body of Christ is sick. Perhaps this is why many do not believe in the Healing Power of God.

Please consider carefully this Passage of Scripture. Do you not know that you are the Temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16) New Covenant believers are the Temple of God. We are the Body of Christ and within us dwells the Holy Spirit of God. Are we not expected to keep the Temple clean? Is the Holy Spirit worthy of a “clean house?” Hello! We are talking about housing the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD ALMIGHTY!

Many people recite 1 Corinthians 3:16 and they teach that we are each the Temple of God where the Holy Spirit dwells but FEW IF ANY will read and teach the next Verse. Read it now and please take it to heart because God does not lie. If anyone defiles the Temple of God, God will destroy him. For the Temple of God is Holy, which Temple you are. (1 Corinthians 3:17)

Our bodies do not belong to us. When we were saved, we GAVE our hearts to the Lord. That means that we surrendered our lives (body, soul and spirit) to God to do with it what He desires. The moment we said yes to God, believing in the Finished Work of the Lord Jesus Christ, we relinquished our bodies to Him. The old man died and God raised up a new man to be the Temple of God, the place where the Holy Spirit of God can dwell. He is not a house guest in our filthy house!

The question is: What are we bringing into the Temple of God? What are we feeding the Temple of God? What are we allowing in through our eyes, ears and mouths? We all expect God to keep His Promises. Do you want Him to keep this Promise? If anyone defiles the Temple of God, God will destroy him. For the Temple of God is Holy, which Temple you are. (1 Corinthians 3:17)

Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. (Matthew 4:17) If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Repent and God will……….turn the tide……….in your life.
