Colossians 1:19-20 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in Heaven, having made peace through the Blood of His Cross.
There is one symbol for Christianity. That is the Cross. Everything we believe and stand on is symbolized by the Cross of Christ. It is there that Jesus paid the price for all sin and defeated all power of the enemy.
Jesus’ Virgin Birth was a Miraculous event but a person’s belief in that will not save them. His sin-free life was phenomenal but will not result in anyone’s Salvation. He performed an untold number of Miracles, Signs, and Wonders during His time of Ministry on this earth, but that too will not cause anyone to be Saved.
Salvation comes ONLY by believing in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. One must believe that Jesus is the Son of the Living God; that He was Crucified on the Cross of Calvary; that He rose from the dead on the Third Day and that He is alive today sitting at the Right Hand Throne of the Father in Heaven.
All this is symbolized in the Cross and that’s why the Cross is the symbol for all of Christianity. Place your faith in the Cross of Christ. It was there, that day, 2000 years ago, that Jesus laid His life down for you. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in Heaven, having made Peace through the Blood of His Cross. (Colossians 1:19-20)
This is the faith that is required for a person to have their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Despite what people may say, there is no other way. Believe it. Place your faith in the Cross and keep it there. Do not be hindered by things of this world. This is what Jesus meant when He said, I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)
Faith in Christ Crucified will……….turn the tide……….in your life.
Abiding in Him, Doreen
