John 2:16 And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

The practice of buying and selling anything of God is demonic. Nothing of God is for sale nor can it be sold. Unfortunately, this is extremely common in the Church world today and people fall for it constantly.

If you have ever purchased a ticket for a seat in a “Christian” seminar, you have bought into this lie. Those who have paid money to receive healing have also been duped. Thousands have purchased the opportunity to have someone teach them how to be a prophet or an apostle. Excuse me, but does anyone read the Word of God anymore?! NOTHING of God can be bought or sold!

STOP looking for someone to sell you a spiritual gift or miracle. It’s all a farse and a money-making scheme. The people involved in these practices are not interested in building the Kingdom of God. They are focused on building their own personal empire and their bank accounts and as Peter said to Simon, Your money perish with you, because you thought that the Gift of God could be purchased with money! (Acts 8:20)

God is no respecter of persons. Your financial or social status means nothing to Him. He loves you just the way you are and He will give you what He has planned for you right where you are. No amount of money can ever change that. You cannot purchase blessings, power, prosperity, healing, deliverance, gifting, or a title from God. Yes, you can pay someone for these things but be assured, they will not be of God and you will never be able to use them in the Kingdom of God.

Those people selling power, prosperity, healing, gifting, or a title will suffer the Judgment of God and their money will die with them. Life in the Kingdom of God for everyone is that of a servant. We give because we have freely received. (Matthew 10:8)

Read the Word of God and apply its lessons to your life. If Simon couldn’t buy the power of God, neither can anyone else. The Kingdom of God is not a marketplace where blessings, power, prosperity, healing, deliverance, gifting, or titles are bought and sold.

Jesus expressed Righteous Anger when He came upon this in the Temple. That was the day He turned the money changers' tables over and drove them out with a whip! And He found in the Temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the Temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

This lesson should ……….turn the tide……….in the Church today.
