Matthew 7:14 Because narrow is the Gate and difficult is the way which leads to Life, and there are few who find it.

 

Yesterday we discussed the two spiritual kingdoms that exist in the universe: The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Darkness. As born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are citizens of the Kingdom of God. As a side note, His Kingdom exists here on earth. We don’t have to wait until we die and go to Heaven to be a citizen of the Kingdom of God. Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. (Matthew 6:10)

 

Some of you have asked, “Why does there seem to be so many more people in the Kingdom of Darkness than in the Kingdom of God?” The answer is simple. Due to the fall of Adam and Eve, we are all born with the sin nature. This makes us citizens of the Kingdom of Darkness by default. We remain there until we CHOOSE to believe in the shed Blood of Christ on the Cross for our Justification and Sanctification.

 

God does not send anyone to Hell. They CHOOSE Hell by their rejection of Jesus Christ. People are in Hell not because of what they have done, but because of what they have NOT done. They are in Hell because they have rejected Christ; not believed in Him.

 

Jesus said, Enter by the narrow Gate; for wide is the gate and broadway that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the Gate and difficult is the way which leads to Life, and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)

 

God has made it simple for everyone to be saved and born-again. It’s easy to become a citizen of the Kingdom of God. We don’t have to pass a test or put in a thousand hours of work. We don’t have to do anything except believe in Who Jesus is and What He did for us. That’s it! What an awesome God we serve!

 

He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the Name of the Only Begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the Light and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the Truth comes to the Light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God. (John 3:18-21)

 

Jesus is the Light of the World. He has brought Light into the world of darkness. Everyone is welcome in the Kingdom of God which is Light. Jesus is the ONLY WAY into this Kingdom. (John 14:6) You don’t have to live another day in darkness. The Light awaits you. The Light is calling your name. Answer His call. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Sacrifice on the Cross for your sins. He suffered and died a horrible death so you can be Saved and born-again. He did it all so you can be a citizen of the Kingdom of God and live in the Light.

 

Today is the day to accept Christ and walk through that narrow Gate into the Kingdom of Light.
