Acts 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the Presence of the Lord.

 

The weight of sin is heavy; very heavy. At times it can burden a person down to the point of suicide. The thief comes but to kill, steal and destroy. (John 10:10) Only through Repentance and being converted can this heavy burden of sin be lifted.

 

The people Peter was speaking to that day had committed the worst sin ever. They had murdered the Son of God. What a weight that must have been! But there was an answer and a refreshing available to them. This is what Peter was telling them and many responded in faith in Christ. Thousands repented and were converted that day. Their sins were blotted out and they were refreshed by the Presence of the Lord.

 

The Presence of God is the single most Powerful thing in the world. Unfortunately, most people have never felt it or entered into it. Even people who sit in church week after week have never experienced the Presence of God.

 

Several years ago, a group came for a retreat. They were staying at The Treehouse but they wanted to see the House of Praise so I took them up there. One lady named Brenda was the first to enter. She took about five steps inside and just stopped. All the others went in and walked around looking at the house. Brenda never moved and she never spoke a word. She was just staring at the wall that said, “How Great Thou Art.”

 

Finally, after about thirty minutes, I went over to her and asked her if she was okay. She didn’t move at all but responded, “I am good. I have never felt this before and I don’t want to leave this spot.” She had entered into the Presence of the Lord and was being refreshed.

 

Brenda was about 65 years old and had gone to church her whole life but she had never felt the Presence of God. She left here changed forever. This is what we expect people to experience while they are here. When I was building The Treehouse, God told me that I was to create an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit can operate in the lives of those who are present. This is what we strive to do week after week.

 

God is faithful to be present here on this property and He moves mightily in the lives of all who come. I am so Blessed by this I don’t have the words to express my feelings. I give God all the praise and glory for His Presence here on this piece of ground in Caney, Oklahoma.
