The Trinity

2 Corinthians 13:14 The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God, and of the Communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

There are Three Persons of the Godhead: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. We know this as the Trinity. The Three of them have always existed. In Genesis 1:26 we read where THEY (the Three Persons of the Godhead) created mankind. “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; The use of the words Us and Our are plural and would indicate that there was more than one Person doing this and that they are all similar in nature to human beings. Exactly what that is, we don’t know but we do know they are all Three Persons.

While they are all Three the same, they are each different in their own right. They each have specific roles but they will NEVER contradict each other because they are of the same Heart and Mind. All Three love us the same. All Three agree on every Doctrine and Subject put forth in the Word of God.

Prior to Jesus coming to Earth as a man, He was the Word of God. So, at that time the Godhead consisted of God The Father, The Word and The Holy Spirit. All Three were Persons. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made…...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His Glory, the Glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of Grace and Truth. (John 1:1-3;14) Please note that John refers to the Word as “Him” which would indicate that the Word was indeed a Person of the Godhead.

Because we are all born with the sin nature and because God, our Heavenly Father, cannot come in direct contact with sin, He sent His Word in the form of His Son (Jesus) to be our Savior. God did this because He loves us all so much He wants to have communion with us as He did with Adam and Eve in the Garden prior to their fall into sin. Jesus told us all about it when He said: For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have Everlasting Life. (John 3:16)

In actuality, God sent His Word in the form of the Man, Christ Jesus, to restore man’s relationship with God the Father. Jesus came to save the world from certain and eternal death. That was His Purpose and He fulfilled it completely on the Cross of Calvary that Day we know as Crucifixion Day. He paid the price for the sin of every person on earth. He has made a place for every single one. “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s House are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the Way you know….I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:1-4;6) Unfortunately, only those who believe in Him and are born again will know the Benefits and spend eternity in the Place He has prepared for them.

I pray you know Him as your Savior and Lord today. We have no guarantee of tomorrow.

God is about to……….turn the tide

I know the Way,       Doreen
