Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
The Roman Empire collapsed from the inside out because they turned away from the Word of God. To study how this happened is fascinating and at the same time, eye-opening because it is exactly what we see happening in America today.
The following will paint a picture of life in the Roman Empire as it fell.
1. Prostitution was legal and prevalent.
2. The Government officials wasted huge amounts of money on lavish homes and parties.
3. Alcohol abuse was everywhere.
4. The general public was poor and forced to live in small apartment-type buildings or on the streets.
5. The Emperor was decided by the man who had the most money.
6. The streets were filled with unemployed people who were drunk or not willing to work.
7. They imported thousands of workers from nearby countries to work in the fields.
8. The immigrants caused the crime rate to increase dramatically.
9. Gold stopped flowing into the country and the coins decreased in value.
10. Inflation rose dramatically and the people had little to no money.
11. Bartering became the way of life.
12. There was little to no respect for life and people were killed as entertainment much like bullfights.
13. Much money was spent on building lavish cathedrals but the Word of God was not brought forth.

What we have described is a total turning from the Word of God. The result: The fall of the greatest empire on earth.
America MUST turn back to the Word of God! It is our only HOPE! We say we want America back. What America do we want back? America was founded on Biblical principles. If we want America back, we MUST return to life according to Biblical principles. Anything else is a farce and a lie.
It comes down to each person individually. Are you willing to change your lifestyle? Are you willing to be a part of the remedy to the problems in America? Are you willing to stand for the Word of God and LIVE the Word of God? If you are not……...you have no right to complain as our nation falls.
Today is the day Christians must be willing to change and stand for God, the Ten Commandments, and the Principles of the Word of God...ALL OF THEM. It’s not about going to church on Sunday. It’s about changing how you love God and treat other people. These are the two Commandments Jesus gave us. If Americans will live by these two Commandments, we can take America back.
It doesn’t begin with that family down the street. It begins with you and me. We are responsible for ourselves and our households. It’s up to us; each of us individually. Are YOU willing to do your part to take America back?
