1 Corinthians 1:17-18 Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the Cross of Christ should be of none effect. For the preaching of the Cross is to them who perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the Power of God.
Yesterday, as I brought the Morning Message to a close, the Holy Spirit led me to make a statement that I have been reflecting on since I wrote it. The statement is as follows: Let the Word grow and multiply in your heart and mind. It is Jesus Christ manifested into a tangible object that you can hold in your hands, keep in your mind, and cherish with all your heart.
My friends, it is impossible to separate Jesus Christ from His Finished Work on the Cross. It is also impossible to separate God the Father, from Jesus or the Holy Spirit or the Word of God. They are all one and they all are the Gospel of Christ which is the Power of God to bring about Salvation, Sanctification, and ultimate Glorification. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
Anyone who says they believe in Jesus but do not proclaim the Word of God to be Truth, is a liar. Likewise, those who proclaim to be Saved but reject the Work of the Holy Spirit are deceived by the enemy. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and the Word of God are all One and in perfect alignment and agreement at all times. One will never contradict the other in any way, shape, or form.
Since Jesus went to the Cross, people find Salvation through faith in Who He is and His Finished Work. At that point in time, the Holy Spirit of God enters into the heart of that Saved individual and begins the life-long work to bring about change in their life. Some things change instantly while others come over time as the person submits to the Holy Spirit.
If Jesus had not gone to the Cross and atoned for all sin, the Holy Spirit would not be able to do His Work in our lives. Every Saved person can look back and see how God (through the Holy Spirit) has changed them. If there is no change, there is no Salvation.
Jesus said, You shall know them by their fruits. (Matthew 7:16) Unsaved, lost sinners produce bad fruit. On the other hand, people who are truly Saved and born again produce good fruit. Jesus taught this in His Sermon on the Mount.
God’s Plan for all people is perfect. It is His Will that every person come to Salvation. Unfortunately, most don’t. Allow me to encourage you to read the Word of God. Let it penetrate your heart and mind. It is God manifested into a tangible object you can actually hold in your hands. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:14) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
The Gospel of Christ will…..…….turn the tide
I believe it! Doreen
