Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Life under the New Covenant is much better than in the Old Covenant. But now He has obtained a more excellent Ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better Covenant, which was established on better Promises. (Hebrews 8:6) God’s Will is for us to have everything and be free from all sickness and disease. This has always been His Will for His People.
The only way for us to have it all is to live our lives according to His Ways, keep His Commandments, and follow after the Spirit. Jesus said, If you love Me, keep My Commandments. (John 14:15) Paul wrote, For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)
One of my absolute favorite Passages of Scripture is John 10:10. Jesus said, The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Jesus came and willingly went to the Cross so we may have everything God wants for us.
The enemy doesn’t want us to have anything but trouble and death but when we understand all that Jesus accomplished on the Cross of Calvary, we can walk out from under that heavy burden of sin and shame and into the glorious Light provided us by the Sacrificial Work of Jesus on the Cross. There we will find the Peace that passes understanding and the Rest He spoke of in Matthew 11:28. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Many Christians today are going back into the Old Covenant and celebrating the Old Feast Days and Holidays. There is nothing wrong with knowing about the Old Covenant traditions but none of that is relevant to us today. As born-again believers in the Finished Work of Jesus on the Cross, we find our Rest in our faith in Him.
He IS the Sabbath Rest. (Matthew 11:28)
He IS the Passover Lamb. (1 Corinthians 5:7)
He IS the Feast of Unleavened. Bread (Mark 14:12)
He IS the Feast of First Fruits. (1 Corinthians 15:20)
He IS the Feast of Pentecost. (Acts 2:1-31)
He WILL BE the Feast of Trumpets when He returns for His Bride. (1 Thessalonians 4:16)
He IS the Day of Atonement. (1 John 4:10)
He IS the Feast of Tabernacles. (John 15:4-5)
Jesus fulfilled all the requirements of every Law set forth in the Old Covenant. He is the fulfillment of every Feast Day in the Old Covenant. He told us this! Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. (Matthew 5:17)
Every aspect of the Law of the Old Covenant has been fulfilled by Jesus; His Birth, Death, Burial, Resurrection, and Ascension. When He returns for His Bride (the Church) He will then fulfill the Feast of Trumpets. It won’t be long now. I pray you are ready to go.
He’s coming back to……..….…….turn the tide
I’m ready, Doreen
