Ephesians 4:22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts.
When Adam sinned, his entire being was negatively affected. His spirit was separated from God. His soul became rebellious. His thought patterns changed. He felt emotions he had never felt before. His actions changed because he no longer thought about things the same way. All this was the result of his sin.
Adam’s body was also affected by his sin. For the first time, his body began to decay. He got old. Wrinkles appeared on his face. He suffered from physical weakness. He experienced pain. Sickness and disease gripped his human body and ultimately Adam died a physical death.
God created Adam to live forever in total Peace and harmony with Him. However, God also created Adam with a freewill to make decisions for himself. There was only one rule in the Garden that Adam had to follow and he made the decision to break that rule. This decision on his part corrupted the entire human race and we all are a product of this corruption.
That’s why Jesus went to the Cross of Calvary! He paid the price God demanded for the sins of this evil world. Every sin has been paid for by the shed Blood of Jesus. We don’t have to live a corrupt lifestyle. The Apostle Paul wrote a lot about this and referred to the old man and the new creation in Christ.
No one can become a new creation without placing their faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus was and is God’s answer for sin and there is no other. Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me. (John 14:6)
The best word to describe the human being is corrupt. Due to the fall of Adam, we are all born with the sin nature and we are all corrupt in every sense of the word. However, when we believe in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary, we can be born again and made a new creation in Him. This is the Good News of the Gospel of Christ and it is available to all people, everywhere. Hallelujah!
We don’t have to live corrupt, sinful lives. We can be totally transformed, born again, and made new!
Jesus went to the Cross of Calvary to……….turn the tide……….in your life.
Made new! Doreen
