Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

 

The Word of God is the single most important “thing” on the face of the earth. Without it, there is no Hope for humanity. Salvation, Healing and Deliverance was the Ministry of Jesus when He walked this earth. (Luke 4:18) Salvation, Healing and Deliverance are STILL the Ministry of Jesus through the Power of the Holy Spirit and those people who have surrendered their lives to the Calling God has put on them.

 

We receive nothing from God without faith. Faith is the Key that opens the door to every Blessing of God. Without faith we cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6) and we will receive nothing from Him. With that being said, it’s obvious that faith is what we need. How do we obtain faith? So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)

 

The Word of God will produce faith in the person hearing or reading it. This is one of God’s Promises to us. People do not have faith because they do not read the Word of God or listen to the Word of God spoken. Many church leaders today do not preach or teach the Word of God. I hesitate to call these people Pastors or Preachers because if they don’t preach and teach the Word of God, they are just public speakers and their audience will not grow in faith. Unless those people are “hearing” the Word of God somewhere else or reading it for themselves, they will not grow in their faith. They can’t!

 

We must stop trying to do things our own way and go back to God’s Way. He has put in place an Order for everything and growing in faith is no exception. Everyone who is Saved and born again, at some point, heard the Word of God spoken. They heard, For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have Everlasting Life. (John 3:16) They heard these Words of Jesus and they BELIEVED it. Belief is faith. That’s why we say, “They came to faith and were Saved.”

 

No one can be saved without faith in Christ. This faith comes from hearing the Word of God. Some people come to faith and Salvation while they are alone by hearing the Voice of the Holy Spirit in their head. Nevertheless, they STILL heard the Word of God.

 

My friends, let me encourage you to read the Word of God. When you do, you will hear God’s Voice in your head. You don’t have to hear someone give you their interpretation of God’s Word. Read it for yourself. He always has something more for your to learn and it will always produce faith. So shall My Word be that goes forth from My Mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11) God’s Word will never return void or empty. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER! This is another Promise of God.

 

In addition to this, Jesus said, Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will by no means pass away. (Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33) No matter how hard the enemy tries, the Word of God will remain in this world. It cannot be destroyed. God will not allow that to happen because without it, no one can be Saved, Healed or Delivered. I repeat, the Word of God is the single most important “thing” on the face of the earth. Read it. Your faith will grow.
