Transformed Mind
February 15, 2024, 3:00 AM

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect Will of God.

All sin is rebellion against God. Sin affects every aspect of the human being. Our spirit, soul, and body take a beating when we are living in sin. Yesterday, we began a discussion on how sin affects the human soul which contains our mind, will, and emotions. Our soul is at the heart (or center) of who we are.

Our minds control what we believe, feel, think, say, and do. This is why Satan attacks our minds with evil thoughts. He knows if he can control our minds, the rest of us will follow. It is extremely important what we allow to enter our minds. As they say, garbage in, garbage out. What we feed our mind will manifest into how we feel and what we say and do. Therefore, it is imperative that we guard our minds.

Jesus gave us two Commandments to live by. The first one is You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. (Matthew 22:36) Our heart, soul, and mind are all one. Our heart is at the center of our being. As we said before, our soul is our mind, will, and emotions. Therefore, we are commanded by Jesus to love Him with everything we are.

The Apostle Paul wrote a lot on this subject because he understood what it was to have his mind transformed by Jesus Christ. In his letter to the Romans Paul wrote several things about the mind. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Romans 8:5-6)

There are many more Scriptures on the subject of the mind (soul). We will look at several more tomorrow. For today, consider your thoughts. What you are thinking about is of the utmost importance. Jesus died so we can be a totally new creation in Him; spirit, soul, and body. Hallelujah!

Jesus died to………..turn the tide……..in every person.

Praise Him!       Doreen
