When we place our faith in the Cross of Christ, we are Saved and born again. We become a new creation IN Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit then moves into our hearts and begins the transformation process we all so desperately need. When we give over to the Work of the Holy Spirit and stop trying to fight Him, the process goes a lot faster and easier.
If we really trust God and believe Jesus went to the Cross for us, then we will trust the Holy Spirit of God to do good Work in us. As we have stated so many times, the Holy Spirit is the Power Source and the Workforce of God. It is ridiculous to fight the Holy Spirit or reject Him and then ask God to heal or deliver us. It’s the Holy Spirit Who does this.
The Holy Spirit showed me something the other day that might help to shed some light on this subject. As you know, we are in the middle of a building project here at Betts Ministries. With all building projects, no matter the size, there is a Project Manager, the Financial Manager and the actual Workforce Superintendent.
The Project Manager is the boss. This person has the vision and the plans for the entire project and they oversee the whole job through to completion. The Financial Manager pays all the bills and arranges for the job to be paid for. The Workforce is led by the Superintendent and consists of those who are actually on the job doing the work.
Think of yourself as God’s building project. He is the Project Manager, the boss if you will. He has a Plan and a Purpose for your life. Jesus Christ is the Financial Manager and He has already paid for everything needed to bring your life to completion according to God’s Plan. All the debts have been paid in advance!
You see, the sin in our lives hinders God’s Plan. The enemy attacks us and causes setbacks in our spiritual growth. This can be compared to a fire on the job, equipment breakdowns, tools being stolen from the jobsite, or workers becoming sick or quitting. All these things hinder the progress of the job. This is what Satan does to us. He hinders what God wants to do. This is all the work of the enemy and it causes progress to slow down or even, stop.
BUT, when Jesus went to the Cross of Calvary, He gained Victory over every sin, sickness, disease, and every other attack from the enemy in our lives. He paid the price required with His Precious Blood. When He said, It is finished. (John 19:30) our debt was paid in full! At that moment, our project was totally and completely funded! And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumscision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all your trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the Cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. (Colossians 2:11-15)
Now, with all the bills paid and plenty of money in the bank, the job can move forward. The workers can come to work and get the job done. This is overseen by the Holy Spirit. He is the Superintendent of the project and on the job every day. He uses people in various areas of Gifting to get things done.
We are all life-long building projects. None of us are ever totally complete here on this earth. There is always something more God is doing in our lives. Whatever it is, Jesus has already paid for it in advance. Debts of any kind are never an issue. Submit to the Master’s Plan. You belong to Him. He created you. He has a Plan and a Purpose for your life. To get the work done, He must send in the Superintendent, the Holy Spirit.
If you want to see real change in your life, you must believe that God has a Plan and that Jesus has already paid for everything. Then you must trust the Holy Spirit to do the work. They are a Three-In-One package. I suppose we could call them, TRINITY CONSTRUCTION. Experts in new construction, remodels, and total renovation! Hallelujah!
