2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in Righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Today is April 14th. Numerically, the date is written 4/14. While in prayer about this Morning Message, the Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance two Passages of Scripture found with these numbers in their Scriptural Address.
The first is Esther 4:14. This is a well-known Passage and is relevant to each of us in any given situation we find ourselves in. The Scripture reads: Yet who knows whether you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this? There are no coincidences with God. Everything happens for a reason. If we seek God’s Plan and Purpose in the situation and stop dwelling on ourselves, we will see God’s Hand at work in us and through us. The Kingdom of God is for us but it is not about us. Jesus said, Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)
The second Scripture that God brought to my memory with this Scripture Address is Ephesians 4:14 That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, This is such an important Passage of Scripture for all believers. It speaks to the importance of reading and studying the Word of God for ourselves. We must seek the Truth of the Word of God. It is the single most important thing on the face of the earth.
So many people sit in church every week and depend on the words spoken to them by the person standing behind the pulpit. This can be very dangerous because unless we know the Truth of the Word ourselves, we will not know if what we are hearing from the pulpit is right or wrong.
With technology being what it is today, we have the ability to listen to many different preachers and teachers on television and on the Internet. This can be a great Blessing but if what the preacher is preaching is false and we don’t know the Truth of the Word of God, we will be like little children and believe the false doctrine. This is what Paul meant when he wrote to the Ephesians That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, (Ephesians 4:14)
With all that said, heed the Message of the Lord today on 4:14. Don’t be carried about by every wind of doctrine that comes within earshot, because you are here for such a time as this and God has a great plan for your life. Read and study the Word of God for yourself. Hallelujah!
The Word of God will……..….turn the tide……….in your life!
Thank you Lord for your Word, Doreen
