John 3:18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the Name of the Only Begotten Son of God.

 

There is a teaching in the church world today that declares that because Jesus died for the sins of all people, everyone is automatically saved and will spend eternity in Heaven. This is called Universalism and is simply not true.

 

It is an easy doctrine to preach and teach because everyone wants to believe it. Everyone wants to spend eternity in Heaven and not be cast into Hell. The Devil always makes his way seem easy and wonderful. Do not be fooled by this false teaching.

 

From the beginning, Satan has convinced people that God’s Word does not mean what it says. The serpent convinced Eve that God didn’t really mean that she would die if she ate the forbidden fruit. He couldn’t really mean that because He loves her too much. She must have misunderstood. We all know how that turned out and Satan has not changed.

He is still trying to convince people that the Word of God does not really mean what it says. Universalism teaches that God loves everyone and because of the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, everyone will spend eternity in Heaven. The fact is, the Bible does not teach this and the Word of God is supreme over anything and every lie of the enemy.

 

The Words of Jesus Himself prove this teaching to be false. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the Name of the Only Begotten Son of God. (John 3:18)

 

My friends, do not be sucked into this false teaching called Universalism. It is a lie straight from Satan himself. Place your faith squarely in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross. Believe in Him and you will be Saved.

 

When you do this, your life will change. The old, rebellious man in you will begin to be transformed into the new man created by God full of Righteousness and Holiness. Hallelujah!
