Mark 16:17 These Signs shall follow them who believe.

 

God’s Pattern for His Church is to be a continuation of the Ministry of Jesus on Earth. He went about Healing people from sickness and disease and casting out demons from those who were possessed and oppressed by Satan. That was the Ministry of Jesus. Question: Is that what the Church is doing today?

 

Many people have been taught (and believe) that Miracles, Signs, and Wonders all came to an end when the last Apostle died. That is ridiculous! If God is not still performing Miracles, why pray for Him to do anything? If He cannot Heal the sick, why does the Bible tell us to lay hands on them, pray over them, and anoint them with oil? Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:14-15)

 

God has always used people to Minister to others and He is still doing so today. To think otherwise is nothing more than unbelief. Just because some people abuse the gifting and use it for their own self-gain does not mean the Gift is not real or does not exist.

 

We cannot pick and choose which of the Spiritual Gifts and Callings of God we want to still be in operation in the Church today. And yet, that is exactly what is happening. I believe this grieves the Holy Spirit because it is a demonstration of unbelief. It takes faith to move God. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

 

Our responsibility to God is to believe in Him and seek after Him with our whole hearts. God has a Plan for every person He creates. He has something unique for each of us to do if we are willing to be used by Him. God uses people who seek Him. If you want to be used by God, seek after Him with everything you have and everything you are. Without Him you are nothing. With Him, you will see great change in people for the better. If you really love people and want to help them, allow God to use you how He sees fit. I guarantee you that you will be amazed by what He does.

 

 

Seek God and watch Him……….turn the tide
