Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the Plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to bring you a future and a hope.

 

When Jesus breathed on His Disciples and said to them “Receive the Holy Spirit.” He breathed into them His Victorious Life. Jesus conquered sin, death, Hell, the grave, and Satan on the Cross of Calvary. He rose out of the grave totally victorious. Satan had no hold on Him or control over Him. This is the essence of the new creation spoken about in the New Testament.

 

The new creation is Victorious Life in Christ. Jesus called it Abundant Life. I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) Abundant Life is not a life controlled by Satan. Abundant Life is life led by the Holy Spirit of God. Abundant Life is Victorious Life founded in the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. The new creation is Victorious Life and Abundant Life all in one!

 

This is God’s Plan for everyone! The well-quoted Words of the great Prophet Jeremiah state it clearly. For I know the Plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to bring you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11) God’s Plan for all of us is for us to become the new creation.

 

The enemy (Satan) has plans for us as well. He plans to rob us of everything God has for us. Jesus said, For the thief comes but to kill, steal, and destroy. (John 10:10) The thief is Satan. His goal is to rob us of our faith and everything good. Satan’s end game is to totally destroy us and ultimately, kill us. He will succeed if we don’t accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. When we are truly born again and receive the Holy Spirit, Satan has no hold on us.

 

The Apostle John wrote Greater is He who is in us than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4) The Holy Spirit of God is a million times superior to Satan and his demons. Some believe that Satan is the opposite of God. This IS NOT TRUE! God created Lucifer who is now Satan. God has total control over him and all the fallen angels. The creation is never more powerful than the Creator.

 

God created everything. Therefore, He has control over all of creation. He gave Angels and human beings free will to make choices for themselves, but ultimately, He has control over us. He determines when we will be born and when we will die. He allows things to happen to us to test our faith.

 

The struggle you are going through today is a test of your faith in God’s ability to resolve it. Whatever it is, Jesus nailed it to the Cross of Calvary and was Victorious over it. You can be too! All you have to do is place your faith in the Finished Work of Jesus on the Cross and trust in Him. The work has already been done. Victorious Life! Abundant Life! This is the Plan God has for you! Hallelujah!

 

Trust in the Lord. He will…...….turn the tide……..in your life.
