Victory!

Colossians 2:15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Many people who profess to be born-again believers struggle with sin in their lives. These people love God and try very hard to do the right thing, but they just can’t seem to do it. They can’t stop doing what they know is not pleasing to God.

Christianity is not a list of do’s and don’ts. Rather, it is a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ who shed His Blood and gave His Life so we can live our lives pleasing to God.

God loves us and wants us to have Victory over sin in our lives. He sent His Son to die on the Cross to make this possible. Jesus is God’s Son. He did go to the Cross as the required Sacrifice for our sins. His Blood paid the price God required. On Crucifixion Day, Jesus Atoned for all sin. His Resurrection proved that His Work was complete.

To understand this and be able to apply it to our lives on a daily basis, we must truly believe that Jesus went to the Cross of Calvary to defeat all power of the enemy. Jesus described what the enemy does. The thief comes but to kill, steal, and destroy. (John 10:10)

The Apostle Paul described the enemy. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12)

Jesus defeated the power of all these! He disarmed them and made an open spectacle of them all! He did this for you and me. He did this so we don’t have to live defeated lives. We don’t have to be dominated by sin. We can have victory over sin! It’s possible in the lives of those who believe in the Finished Work of Christ.

Jesus died to……..….turn the tide……….in your life.

All praise and glory goes to Jesus!      Doreen
