Victory In Jesus
February 24, 2024, 3:00 AM

When a person is Saved and born again, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within them. The Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:17) This is the same Spirit that dwelled in Jesus! We have the same Spirit living in us that lived in Jesus! Think about that.

When we are Saved, our entire being is affected. Our spirit is made alive. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses. (Colossians 2:13)

At our conversion, our soul is reconciled with God and finds Peace. Our want-to changes. We are no longer focused on self but the things of God and His Kingdom become our first priority. Everything about us changes when our soul is changed because it is the control center of our being. Our soul is our mind, will, and emotions. What the soul believes determines what we think, say, and do. When our soul puts God first, we put God first. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new. (1 Corinthians 5:17)

Our body is also affected at Salvation as we receive Divine Life through the Holy Spirit. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:11) Our bodies are still mortal. They will continue to decay and eventually die BUT we have the ability to live in total Peace, the Peace that passes understanding. And the Peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

Just as sin affects all three parts of us, Salvation does as well. Spirit, soul, and body are all made new the moment we confess Jesus as Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. (Romans 10:9)

This is the Victory we have in Jesus! This is why we sing O Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever! He sought me and bought me with His Redeeming Blood. I loved Him ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him. He plunged me to Victory beneath the cleansing flood!

Jesus went to the Cross so to……..….turn the tide!...........in our lives!

Hallelujah!         Doreen
