Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
This Scripture is the Heart of the Gospel of Christ. The Apostle Paul wrote this in his letter to the Romans. Paul knew just how horrible a sinner he was prior to meeting Jesus on the Road to Damascus. He was the worst of the worst and yet, Jesus died for him.
Many people today believe that they have done too many horrible things in their life for God to love them. They are wrong. It doesn’t matter what we have done. We are all sinners and none of us is worthy of God’s Love. On the contrary, we are all worthy of the Wrath of God which is death and eternal separation from God.
But God sent His Son, Jesus, to be the demonstration of His Love for us all and He did it while we were still sinners. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) Jesus said it like this: For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have Everlasting Life. (John 3:16)
So many people today believe they have to stop sinning in order to be Saved. They don’t realize that they CAN’T stop sinning UNTIL they are Saved. It is the born-again process that gives us the Power of the Holy Spirit within us to bring about those changes. We can’t do it on our own. If we could, Jesus would not have had to go to the Cross!
It is the shed Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary that Redeemed us from our sins and Justifies us in the eyes of God. The Work has already been done. Jesus died for all sin. His Blood paid the price for everyone but until we believe in His Finished Work and place our faith in what He accomplished on the Cross, we will remain spiritually lost.
We do not have to live in sin. Paul wrote Sin shall not have dominion over you. (Romans 6:11) Jesus went to the Cross so we can live in Victory over sin in this life and He did it 2,000 years ago. He paid the price for our Justification way back then. The Work has been done. The price has been paid. All that is required of us is to believe it. Then we can walk in Victory! Hallelujah!
Jesus died to……….turn the tide……….in your life.
Walking in Victory! Doreen
