1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The above Scriptures hold the greatest Promise in all the Word of God. The simple fact is, that we are all sinners and stand in need of forgiveness. That Forgiveness is available to anyone and everyone who calls on the Name of Jesus and believes Him to be their Savior.
When Jesus went to the Cross of Calvary, suffered and died, and said “It is finished.” (John 19:30) He became the Savior of the world. Everyone is included. Jesus said, Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in Heaven. (Matthew 10:32) The word “whosoever” means exactly that: who-ever. No one is excluded from the Love of God and the Mercy of God to be Saved and born again. Every single person on earth can be Saved. It doesn’t matter what we have done in the past, we CAN be Saved IF we call on the Name of Jesus and believe Him to be our Savior.
The word Savior means: The one who saves. Jesus Christ is the ONLY One qualified to be our Savior. We do not have to live in the bondage of sin. We do not have to spend eternity in Hell. We do not have to suffer from sickness and disease. We do not have to be held captive by Satan. We don’t! We don’t! we don’t!!
Many people profess to be “Saved” but they are still living their lives in captivity. They are still in the grip of the enemy. They are not walking in the Victory over sin that Jesus died for them to have. They have no Joy in their life. They have no Peace. And yet, they say they are saved. How can that be?
Most Christians fall into this category because they do not understand all that Jesus accomplished on the Cross of Calvary. His Finished Work is worth far more than just fire insurance. Yes, when we place our faith in Him, we have that blessed assurance of not spending eternity in Hell but what about now? Do we have to live in Hell on earth now so we can spend eternity in Heaven? Is this what God planned for us? NO!
Jesus said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has Anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captive, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those that are bruised. (Luke 4:18) The Benefits of Salvation are for every day of our lives now and forever more. Jesus died so we can have it all NOW! We don’t have to wait until we die to live in the Kingdom of God. Jesus died so we can live in Victory over sin, NOW!
This is what it means to be an overcomer. This is WHY Jesus went to the Cross in the first place! You can have it all NOW! All you have to do is apply the shed Blood of Christ to your life. He died so you can live an Abundant Life. I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
My friends, anything in your life that does not fit in the category of “Abundant Life,” is not from God. If it’s not from God, it is from Satan and Jesus died to defeat ALL POWER OF SATAN in our lives. Whatever it is, you DON’T HAVE TO SUFFER WITH IT! You can be an overcomer! You can walk in Victory over the enemy! The war is over! You can stop fighting the battle. You are on the winning side; Saved and Victorious through the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary.
This is the basic Truth of the Gospel of Christ. Please consider the Truth in the following Scripture: And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. (Colossians 2:15) The Finished Work of Jesus on the Cross brought Victory to WHOSOEVER chooses to believe in Him and what He accomplished for them. He did it for YOU! Do you believe that? If so, stand tall and walk in that Victory; live in that Victory! It’s all yours! All you have to do is believe it.
