Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
All of Paul’s writings in the New Testament were to Christians; believers; those who were saved and born again. While he did reference their lifestyle prior to their conversion to Christ, his writings are instructions on how to live your life as a Christian. All of his writings are pertinent to all believers today. As he wrote to young Timothy All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in Righteousness, that the man of God may be complete thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
In many cases, Paul used the term “walk.” This refers to the lifestyle or how we as believers are to conduct ourselves and operate in our daily lives. Contrary to the popular false teaching in the Church today, it does matter how we live; what we do, and how we treat other people.
It is only by the Grace of God that we are Saved and born again. The Grace of God is a free Gift bestowed upon anyone who chooses to believe in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. Anyone can receive this Gift but there is only one way to do this and that is through faith in Christ Crucified. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me. (John 14:6) Jesus is the Way to the Father. There is no other way and it is only by faith in Christ that we attain Salvation. For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the Gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Once we do believe in Christ, God expects us to surrender our lives to Him and His Kingdom. We are no longer the person we used to be because we have been spiritually born again. We are a new creation and we are to conduct ourselves likewise. This means that we no longer do the things we used to do because we simply don’t want to do them.
We are all created by God for a specific purpose at a particular time. We are alive at this time in history because He has something beneficial for us to do in His Kingdom during our life span. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)
Did you notice that word “walk” again in that Scripture? that we should WALK in them. Being a Christian is a lifestyle. It’s how you conduct yourself all the time. You are not a Christian on Sunday because you go to Church and then live like a heathen the rest of the week. That does not cut it with God. Jesus spoke about this in Revelation. I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. (Revelation 3:15-16)
If you are not living your life as a born-again believer in Christ, I suggest you read the writings of the Apostle Paul and take them to heart. Time is short. Jesus is coming back. The Rapture of the Church is at hand. Will you be left behind? Also, none of us is guaranteed tomorrow. We only have this moment today. If you died right now, would you spend eternity in Heaven? Are you truly Saved and born again? Does your lifestyle prove that?
If you are not sure, Repent! Place your full faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. Turn from your wicked ways to the Ways described by Paul in the New Testament. The Holy Spirit will help you with this. He is your Helper, Teacher, and Guide through this life. Seek Him and you will find Him. He is only a prayer away. ‘
God is about to……….turn the tide
Don’t be left behind. Doreen
