What Do You Believe God For?

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Jesus said, have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. If Jesus came for us to have Abundant Life here on earth, what is Abundant Life and what does it include? Yesterday we answered this question with this statement: Abundant Life is anything and everything YOU personally have the faith to believe for.

This brings us to the next question: What do you have the faith to believe God for? The Word of God says, With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26; Mark 10:27) Most people believe God for the tangible things in their lives and in nature. We believe the sun will rise every morning and set in the evening. We believe the seasons will change at the same time every year. God causes these things to happen and people believe it.

It’s the supernatural things that people really don’t believe God for and yet it is the supernatural Miracles, Signs and Wonders that makes God really God. When God does something in our personal life that we know is a Miracle, we then believe Him for that particular thing. If we are Miraculously Healed when all the doctors said there is no hope, we believe God for that Miracle, but do we believe Him for it again? Maybe; maybe not. Why? That, my friends, is the crux of this Morning Message today.

Christianity is not a religion. It is a personal relationship with the Man, Christ Jesus Who is God’s Only Son. God sent Jesus to be the final Blood Sacrifice for the sins of the whole world and that includes you and me. Jesus was sent to earth as the New Covenant. He fulfilled every Law set forth in the Old Covenant. On the Cross, He paid the price for every sin AND He disarmed Satan and his demonic spirits. That means He took away their power over us.

When Jesus came to earth, EVERYTHING changed. Nothing would be the same again. This was His Purpose for living on Earth for 33 ½ years. God sent Him to do a job and He did it. How many times have you sent your child to do something, but they failed to do it or didn’t do it right or completely. God’s son, Jesus, did what He was sent to do. He finished the job He was sent to do; all of it and He did it perfectly.

What does this have to do with us living an Abundant Life? Everything, because when we understand and BELIEVE in ALL that Jesus accomplished on the Cross, then we can begin to know what is available to us and included in what we call Abundant Life.

So, what did Jesus accomplish on the Cross? What can we believe Him for? What do we have faith in? The writer of Hebrews said, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) Faith is believing in the Supernatural Power of God; the things we cannot explain in the natural; the Miracles, Signs and Wonders of God.

Christian faith is believing in what Jesus accomplished on the Cross of Calvary. It is a historical FACT that a man named Jesus was crucified on a cross in the year 33 AD. History proves this out. It does not take faith to believe history. However, it does take faith to believe in WHAT He accomplished on that Cross and that faith is what will define your Abundant Life.

Faith in His Finished Work will.……….Turn The Tide………..in your life.
