Numbers 23:23 What hath God wrought!
The definition of the word “wrought” is: Put together, created, shaped, molded, the artistry of a master.
What has God created; shaped; molded with His Divine Hands? He is the Master of the universe; the Creator of every living thing. Take a moment to consider…..What hath God wrought!
By the Hand of God, America was founded, formed, and created to be One Nation Under God. This is the essence of who we are as Americans. Our forefathers knew this and although they were quite diverse in many ways, they were in one accord in regard to the fact that God had placed His Hand of Blessing on them that they should form what would be the greatest nation on Earth.
True American History is the study of the actions and words spoken by our forefathers. To understand their thoughts and prayers is to know our fathers and the principles upon which this country was founded. There is much written by these men in addition to our Founding Documents.
Our nation is at risk today because our public schools have ceased to teach the beliefs and words of God and our forefathers. The two cannot be separated because they are intertwined together.
The great American artist and inventor, Samuel Morse, who invented the telegraph, failed many times, but his persistence proved successful in the mid 1800’s. As he looked back over the years of failures he said, “The only gleam of hope is from confidence in God. When I look upward it calms any apprehension for the future, and I seem to hear a voice saying: ‘If I clothe the lilies of the field, shall I not also clothe you?’ Here is my strong confidence, and I will wait patiently for the direction of Providence.”
Finally, on Friday, May 24, 1844, the first official telegraph message was sent via Morse Code between Baltimore and Washington. Morse pondered what the message should say. Giving God all the credit for his ability, perseverance, and success, Samuel Morse decided the first telegraph message should read: What hath God wrought!
Oh that our leaders would have these same thoughts today. This is our prayer as we trust God to draw Americans back to Him.
We love you Lord and lift your Name up across America today and every day because of your tremendous love for us and your Word.
