What's New?

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans not to harm you but to prosper you and bring you a future and a hope.

God has a Plan for every human being on earth. His Plans for us are good. They are for a lifetime of Peace, Joy, and Happiness. Jesus called this Abundant Life. It is life led by the Holy Spirit of God. This life begins when we are born again. At that time, the Holy Spirit moves into our hearts and begins His Miraculous Sanctifying Work to totally transform us.

The Apostle Paul said that we must be transformed in our minds before we can be transformed in our actions. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect Will of God. (Romans 12:2)

Many people hear the Gospel of Christ and accept the fact that Jesus went to the Cross and died for their sins, but they never fully accept the fact that God wants them to surrender their whole life over to Him and be transformed from the inside, out. I would venture to say that approximately 80% of the Church is in this condition today.

They believe in Jesus but they don’t live for Jesus. They have knowledge of the Word of God but they don’t apply it to their daily lives. What they say and do at Church or around their fellow Christians is not at all how they act and talk at school, work, the ball game, the shopping mall, or at home. This is what James described as a double-minded person. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:7-8)

Yesterday we discussed the fact that God expects us to become a living sacrifice for Him. This is to be a willful act on our part. No one is to beg us or drag us to the Altar. We must go on our own accord. The Holy Spirit will prompt us to do this, but the final decision is ours and ours alone.

We will never know God’s Plan for us until we become a living sacrifice for Him and allow the Holy Spirit of God to transform our minds. Then and only then, will we be able to take the first steps into God’s Plan and Purpose for our lives, and as Jesus promised, this new life will be Abundant in every way. Hallelujah!

God wants to……..….turn the tide……….in your life.

Loving the Abundant Life!         Doreen
