Genesis 12:1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land I will show thee.

 

God has a plan for all of His children. In the story of Abram (who would become Abraham) the Lord told him to leave his home and his family and go to a place he did not know. God had a great plan for Abram but it order for him to see that plan, he had to be obedient to God’s Call on his life. He had to leave Ur of the Chaldes, which had been his home.

 

Abram’s life story is in the Bible because it is an example for all of us. We cannot stay where we are when God says move. God’s Plan is in the new place where He will do a new thing. Like Abram, we are to be obedient to God’s instructions. We must be ready to go wherever He says.

 

On a personal note, the Lord moved my husband, Jack, and me here to Oklahoma. Actually, Jack wanted to move from California to Oklahoma. I, on the other hand, wanted to be where Jack was. It was all part of God’s Plan; not for Jack’s life, but for mine.

 

Five days after arriving in Oklahoma, Jack was killed in a tragic accident. I found myself 1,750 miles from my home, family, and friends. I was without a decent house to live in and without any friends or close family.

 

God quickly told me that this is where He wanted me and that He had a great work for me to do in this strange land called Caney, Oklahoma. In my heart, I knew I wasn’t supposed to go back to California. I knew God had a Plan and a Purpose for me in Caney but I had no idea how He would use me to minister to thousands of people in the years to come.

 

As I look back over the past 21 years, I can see God’s Hand in my life. It’s been an amazing journey in a strange land and I have been extremely Blessed. It’s not over by any means! I know there is far more to come and I give God the praise and glory for every bit of it.

 

Listen for the Voice of God. When He says move, pack up and go. His Plan is far greater than yours.

 

His Plan will……….turn the tide……..in your life.
