Where Is The Holy Spirit?

1 Corinthians 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one with Him.

The word “baptism” means to be immersed but the Biblical meaning is far greater. Biblically speaking, the word “baptism” means the believer is immersed into the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is immersed into the believer. It actually means that the believer and the Holy Spirit become one spirit. The Apostle Paul said this in his letter to the Corinthians. But he who is joined to the Lord is one with Him. (1 Corinthians 6:17)

The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit dwells within us. The Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:17) Believers are indeed the Temple of the Holy Spirit; the place where the Spirit of God abides; dwells; lives. Do you not know that you are the Temple of God and God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)

When we become a born-again believer, the Holy Spirit moves into our lives. He takes up residence in our spirit. He is a forever house-guest Who knows everything and can do everything. Imagine having someone move into your home who can do anything you need and knows everything about every subject!

The problem is, sometimes a person like this can get in our way. We don’t want to hear Him constantly talking to us and telling us where we have gone wrong and what we should be doing. We want to live our own lives. After all, this is our house and we will do what we please!

Unfortunately, this is the position many, if not most, believers take about the Holy Spirit living in them. Most of the time, they don’t want Him interfering in their business. So, they ignore Him or shut Him away in a back room somewhere and let Him out on Sundays and when their “Christian” friends come over for a visit. How foolish!

The Holy Spirit is God. He is omnipresent, meaning He is everywhere all the time. He is omniscient, meaning He knows everything about everything, and He is omnipotent, meaning He has all Power to do anything and everything at any time, anywhere.

Think about that! We have this Power dwelling inside us and because of this, we have the ability to do great things for the Kingdom of God! What have you done with the Holy Spirit? Where is He? Do you have Him locked up in a closet of your heart somewhere?

He is GOD living inside you! The Creator of the entire universe lives in you! I say to you today: LET HIM OUT! LET HIM BE FREE TO SPEAK TO YOU! LISTEN TO WHAT HE IS SAYING AND DO IT!

The Holy Spirit wants to……….turn the tide……..in your life.

Welcome Holy Spirit, Doreen
