Romans 15:13 Now may the God of Hope fill you with all Joy and Peace in believing, that you may abound in Hope by the Power of the Holy Spirit. 

 

Joy, Peace, and Hope are all Benefits that come to us by way of the Power of the Holy Spirit. There is no other source of these Benefits of God. 

 

God wants the absolute best for His children. His Plan for us is to ABOUND in Hope. The dictionary defines abound as: to exist in great quantities. His desire is for our cup to overflow with Hope and bubble over with the Benefits He has for us. 

 

The following Passage of Scripture has just come to my mind: The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23)

 

To bask in the Benefits of the green pasture of the Lord is to abound in Hope. God is not stingy, giving one person one Benefit and another, something else. He is the God of Plenty, and He wants every one of us to have it all. He wants you to abound in Hope and the Holy Spirit is your source of all Hope. 

Jesus is the Gate. Enter into His Green Pasture of Benefits. Lie down in the tall grass beside the still water. Allow Him to restore your soul and lead you into all righteousness. Have no fear because He is with you at all times. He will comfort you in all circumstances and prepare you to face your enemies. His Anointing is plentiful and powerful. Your cup will be full to overflowing, and His Goodness and Mercy will never leave you all the days of your life. And to top it all off, when your life on this earth has ended, you will dwell in the House of the Lord forever and ever. What more could anyone ask for?

 

That is what it means to abound in Hope my friends. It’s a Benefit far too marvelous for words, and it's all yours for the taking. 

 

To accept the Benefit of Hope will...........turn the tide...........in your life.
