Accept God's Forgiveness

Psalm 103:1-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

For the past several days, we have been discussing the Benefits of God for the Believer. The above Passage of Scripture tells us to, forget not all His Benefits: Then, we are given a partial list of these Benefits which reads: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Allow me to begin this morning with a few questions: Do you take the paid holidays included in your benefit package at work? Do you accept overtime pay when you work extra hours? Do you take your vacation and accept the check from your employer even though you were not at work? Do you accept your health care benefits with no questions? Do you cash your retirement check each month, although you are no longer going to work every day?

These are all benefits that your employer agreed for you to have, and we gladly accept them because we trust our employer to fulfill their end of the agreement.

The Benefits of being a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ are far greater than any employee benefit, and yet most Christians refuse to accept them. This is baffling to me. For example, to accept forgiveness for one sin but not ALL your sins would be like taking Christmas Day off from work with pay but refusing to take New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, President’s Day, Thanksgiving, or the 4th of July. Why would someone do that? The answer is: They wouldn’t.

So, if you take ALL your paid holidays off from work, why won’t you accept God’s Forgiveness for ALL your sins? The Word says, Who forgives ALL your iniquities. The Freedom that comes with your acceptance of this Benefit will seem like a thousand pounds lifted off your back. Guilt is one of the heaviest burdens Satan puts on us, and no believer has to carry it. God's Plan for Redemption was for you to be relieved of this burden. His Redemption Plan was Jesus. Believe it! Accept it! Be free from it!

Please be in prayer about the Benefits you are willing to accept and those you are not. The Word of God says: forget not ALL His Benefits.  God’s Word is full of Promises. Everyone is a Benefit for the believer. If you are a believer, they are ALL for you. This is a life-changing study if you put it to work in your life.

Accepting ALL God’s Benefits will absolutely............turn the tide ..........in your life.

Loving ALL the Benefits!      Doreen
