Matthew 16:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

For the past couple of days, we have been talking about how God builds His Church. Jesus Christ is the Cornerstone upon which all else rests. He is the Firm Foundation; the Rock.

Born-again believers in Christ are the stones that make up the Church. Each one is different and unique. God created us and there is, nor ever will be, two people exactly alike. One of my favorite and most beautiful Passages of Scripture is Psalm 139:13-16 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

We were each created by God long before our parents had a thought of us. God also reminds us of His Plans for each of us in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

No one is left out. Every person is part of God’s Plan, and His Plan is for good. He does not wish to harm us but give us hope and a future. This is a Promise of God, and this Passage describes the abundant life Jesus spoke us in John 10:10 I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Just imagine what a wonderful world this would be if every person understood God’s Plan for their individual life and what Jesus did on the Cross for them. Take a moment to ponder that.

There is so much emphasis on higher education today, but the greatest knowledge anyone could have is the knowing and assurance of God’s Love, Plan, and Sacrifice for them. As the old song goes, Who could ask for anything more?

Only God can…...…..turn the tide
