Alive And Well

Ezekiel 37:1-2 The Hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry.

As students of the Word of God, we know the Prophesies mainly pertain to the Jewish people, but I believe they can also be lessons for us, the Body of Christ.

As we look at the Church in America today, we see a similar picture in which Ezekiel saw in the vision of the Valley of Dry Bones. They were once alive and well, but now they are dead and dry; indeed they were very dry. “Very dry” would indicate that it had been a very long time since they knew life.

Much of the Church today is no more than piles of dry bones; indeed VERY dry. In many cases, vibrant spiritual life in the Church is long since past and for the most part dry bones are all that remains. Jesus said, I am the Way the Truth and the Life. Without Jesus there is no Life. No Life is an indication of death; spiritual death.

However, there is Hope! Let us read on. Ezekiel 37:3-6 And He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? I answered, O Lord God, You know. He said to me, Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! says the Lord God to these bones: Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.

The Lord instructed Ezekiel to Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!

God is in the business of bringing Life to that which is dead. That’s what He does. Every person is spiritually dead until that day when they accept Jesus as their Savior and find Life. At that moment God begins to stretch flesh over the dead, dry bones and breathe the Breath of Life into that person and cause them to LIVE and live FOREVER! Praise God!

It is not uncommon for a Christian to walk away from God. We call this “backsliding.” When this happens, their once spiritually alive self becomes dry and if left to go on for a period of time, they become little more than a pile of spiritually dry, lifeless bones.

God told Ezekiel to Prophesy to these bones. I believe this is a word for the alive Body of Christ today. It’s time to Prophesy to the dry bones of the Church. There are piles of them everywhere. They are not hard to find.

If you personally are in a spiritual dry spell with the Lord, hear the Word of the Lord today! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.

God wants you to be spiritually ALIVE! At this moment He is breathing into you the Breath of Life that you may once again live. The dry spell is over! You are no longer a pile of dry bones. Live and know that God is real and loves you! He loves you enough to Sacrifice His Only Son for you!

Accept the life God has given you. Breathe Him deep into your soul. Be revived by the Breath of God. Take on your revived life and live for Him. He is the essence of who you are. Abide with Him. Draw close to Him and He will draw close to you. God said, Then you shall know that I am the Lord.

God can breathe life into dry bones and He can......turn the tide
