All Things Are Possible

Mark 9:23 If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.

When we consider all that Philip and the other preachers of the First Church did, it’s quite easy to see that the modern Church is way off track and not at all operating in the same pattern. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the Miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many who were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and who were lame, were healed. (Acts 8:5-7)

When is the last time you witnessed a demon cast out of someone at Church? In most cases, the answer to this question would be: Never. Why not? Satan is still attacking people just as he did in the days of the First Church. He still seeks to steal, kill, and destroy people so why isn’t the Church ministering Deliverance to these people?

My Bible says that Jesus said, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. (Mark 9:23) My friends, “all” means ALL! Nothing excluded. God can do absolutely anything and He has always used people in His Ministry.

In the 16th Chapter of Mark, Jesus said These signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name shall they cast out demons………... (Mark 16:17) Therefore, my question remains: Why aren’t we seeing demons being cast out of people at Church today? The simple answer to why we don’t see this today is UNBELIEF. The average Christian today does not believe in the supernatural Power of God to do these things and they don’t believe anyone is called to operate in this ministry.

My friends, if Jesus did it, we are to do it as well. Jesus said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has Anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. (Luke 4:18) In this statement, Jesus proclaimed that His Ministry consists of Salvation, Healing, and Deliverance.

To preach that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins so we don’t have to spend eternity in Hell is just one part of the Gospel of Christ. Yes, it is an important part but nonetheless, it is only one part. Jesus and the Preachers of the First Church ministered Healing and Deliverance to people and THEN they believed. Read this again. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the Miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many who were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and who were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city. (Acts 8:5-8) Their “joy” in the Lord (Salvation) took place AFTER and BECAUSE of the Miracles. Philip cast out demons and ministered healing to them. They received and they believed. Therefore, they were filled with joy; saved, and born again!

In my estimation, the majority of the modern Church has it backward and that is why we don’t see Miracles today. Healing and Deliverance in the Name of Jesus prove that He is the Son of God. This has always been the case and it is God’s Pattern for lost souls to come to faith in Christ.

I believe God wants to use us to…..…….turn the tide……….in this evil world.
