Hebrews 13:2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have entertained Angels unawares.
God’s Angels are in our midst all the time. They may appear as ordinary people, but there is something about them that often seems different. The average person might not notice the difference, but as born-again Christians, we may discern a special “spirit” about them. This is the Holy Spirit of God operating in them.
There are many accounts of a “person” who appears in a certain situation who looks a little different than the other people there. Perhaps they are dressed differently, or their eyes are such a brilliant color they just stand out in the crowd. These people might very well be Angels of God.
No one knows how many Angels there are, but suffice it to say, there are billions upon billions of Angelic Beings created by God in the beginning. The Bible tells us that one third of the Angels chose to leave Heaven and take up with Lucifer. These are what we call fallen angels who are now evil spirits that fight on Satan's side against us constantly.
Christians can also discern these demonic spirits when in their midst. There’s something about them that just gives us the creeps! The hair on the back of our neck stands on end, and the Holy Spirit within us encourages us to get away from these people.
Two-thirds of the Angelic beings chose to remain with God and serve Him. That means there are twice as many Righteous Angels as there are fallen angels, so we have them far outnumbered. When we call upon the Lord God for help, He may answer by sending an Angel. Other times, God may send an Angel when we don’t even seek help. (Like the story I shared with you yesterday)
Whether we ask or not, the Angels are all around us. As we come to understand more and more about God, we are less likely to succumb to fear because we know that the Angels and Holy Spirit of God are far, far more powerful than anything Satan can throw our way.
God wants us to operate in full confidence in His Ability to accomplish absolutely everything! Stop worrying! Be anxious for NOTHING! God has caused His Angels to be all around you. Trust in Him to do what you cannot do.
