1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.

 

The world is a very anxious place these days. People are living in fear. Many are wondering what will happen next. Where will the next terrorist attack take place? Is it safe to go to the mall or take my kids to McDonald's? Shall we lock ourselves up in our houses and build an arsenal of weapons to protect our family and property? Is our water safe to drink? Will we run out of food? Is the world coming to an end? Are my children saved? Will my baby be born healthy? How will I survive if we have no electricity? Will I have enough money to pay the bills next month? Am I sick? Do I have cancer? Am I going to die? If I die, who will take care of my family?  Etc., etc., etc…………….

 

The questions are endless, and they are all based on anxiety, concern, and worry, which is all, FEAR.

If we were to sit down and make a list of our worries, concerns, fears, and things that cause us anxiety, the list would probably be quite long. The fact is, most people live every day with a considerable amount of fear.

 

Fear is a demonic spirit that ministers to many, Christian and non-Christian alike. Once this evil spirit takes hold of a person’s life, they can easily become fearful about everything. Although the Word of God tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him, many Christians live their lives afraid of what may happen but don’t realize they are being controlled by the evil spirit of fear.

 

The Word of God is full of reassuring Scriptures of how to overcome fear, and over the next several days, we will study many of them. 

 

First of all, Jesus gave us the Power to cast out demons. If fear is a demonic spirit, we have the Power to cast it out of our lives! Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your Name.” And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven.  Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:17-19)

 

The Power is in the Name of Jesus. He gave us permission to use His Name…..Do it! Jesus said, And these signs will follow those who believe: In My Name they will cast out demons; (Mark 16:17) Do you believe? If you do, He said you WILL cast out demons in His Name. 

 

James, the brother of Jesus said, But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (James 1:22)

 

My friends, we do not have to live in the grip of fear. There is no need for us to be worried or concerned about anything. Fear is the opposite of faith.  The Word of God tells us to walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

 

Be a doer of the Word. Walk by faith. Speak this out loud in confidence: In FAITH in the Mighty and Powerful Name of Jesus, I rebuke any and all fear out of my life. Let go of me! I command you to leave, NOW! I loose and release the Holy Spirit of FAITH to rule and reign over my life. I walk by FAITH! Thank you God for your Son, Jesus, and the Power He has given me over the enemy. Amen.

 

The Mighty Name of Jesus will……..turn the tide
