Psalm 84:10 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere.

The Presence of the Holy Spirit of God is the single most beautiful and tranquil place one could ever be. It doesn’t matter where we are in the natural realm; the Presence of the Holy Spirit can fill that place, bringing Peace unlike anything we can imagine, and one day in His Presence is better than a thousand days anywhere else in this world.

To experience the Presence of the Holy Spirit cannot be compared to anything or anywhere on earth. It is a spiritual place every believer can enter into if they clear their mind of earthly things and seek to be in the Presence of God.

The great Apostle Paul tells of his own experience and refers to it as being caught up to the third Heaven. In the very next sentence, he refers to this place as Paradise. I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third Heaven. And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. (2 Corinthians 12:2-4)

Paul did not know if he was in his body or out of his body when this happened to him, but twice he tells us that God knows. During this time of being caught up, the Holy Spirit spoke to him and showed him things that he was unable to describe in words.  The Presence of the Holy Spirit is a place, but it is impossible to describe it to others.

God has things to tell us and show us. He wants to commune with us, Spirit to spirit. He has always done this through dreams and visions, and continues to do so, but we can enter into His Presence at any time if we so choose.

Our lives are so filled with the things of this world that most people don’t allow time to be alone with God, where they can be caught up into the Presence of the Holy Spirit. The truth is, we make time for that which is important to us. If spending time with God in His Presence is important and a priority in our lives, we will make the time available.

In most cases, it takes being alone and allowing the Lord to speak to us. Jesus said,  But you, when you pray, go into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. (Matthew 6:6-7)

Be still and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10) To hear from the Lord, one must be quiet before Him. It is impossible to talk and listen at the same time. With that said, I suppose the question for today is, Do you want to tell God something, or do you want to hear what God has to say to you?

Be still and know that God can……..turn the tide
