Basking In Grace

Romans 3:24 Being Justified freely by his Grace through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Yesterday, we looked at a few quotes by various theologians about the Grace of God. To sum it all up, everything good that we have comes to us by way of the Grace of God because we don’t deserve anything. Actually, we all deserve to be severely punished and spend eternity in Hell. Paul said, O wretched man that I am. (Romans 7:24) Oh but for the Grace of God! Hallelujah!

The Apostle Paul understood that the Grace of God was bestowed upon him because of his faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross. When we place our faith in all that Jesus did on the Cross, God releases His Grace on us.

The Holy Spirit is the One who actually does the Work to justify, transform, provide, protect, heal, deliver, teach, guide, and counsel us, but it comes to us by the Grace of God that is bestowed upon us because of our faith in God’s Son, Jesus Christ.

The Three Persons of the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) all work together. They are Three in One. We know Them as the Trinity. They have all been together from the beginning. Let US make man in OUR image, according to Our likeness. Three times in this one sentence, God refers to Himself as a plural. He DID NOT say “Let ME make man in MY image, according to MY likeness.” The Words He used were plural in nature.

Jesus did not come on the scene when He was born as a human baby. Prior to that, He was the Word. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:14) Jesus (the Word) has been in existence from the beginning. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

We know that the Holy Spirit was there at the beginning too because the Word says In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:1-2)

It’s important to understand that the Three Persons of the Godhead all love you and want the best for you. God gave His Best for you. His Best is His Only Son, Jesus. God gave Him to suffer and die a horrible death on the Cross of Calvary FOR YOU! That is a FACT!

Your faith in that fact will unleash the Grace of God in every aspect of your life. Your faith in what Jesus did for you on the Cross of Calvary releases the Holy Spirit to go to work on your behalf and do for you things you can not even imagine.

All God asks of us is to believe and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He paid the price for all of us. Because He went to the Cross we can live the Abundant Life basking in the Grace of God. Hallelujah!

...….turn the tide……..in your life.
