John 16:13 However, when He the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
Christians believe in God the Father and Jesus, the Son but many give no credence to the Holy Spirit. This is the work of the enemy to rob believers of the Power of God in their lives and this is why we see little to nothing supernatural happen in most Christian churches today.
Over the years, I have stated time and time again that the Holy Spirit is the Power Source of God. Jesus told us this while He walked this earth but unfortunately, somehow the Holy Spirit has been eliminated from the Godhead. This is a travesty!
Throughout the Book of Acts, we see the Power and Operation of the Holy Spirit constantly as He is sent from the Father and the Son to do His Work in the lives of believers and the Church. The Three (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) all act in unison. While they are three separate and distinct Persons, they are One. We know this as the Trinity or the Three Persons of the Godhead.
To eliminate the Holy Spirit would be similar to taking the motor out of a car and expecting it to take you somewhere. Without a motor, a car cannot do anything except just sit there and look nice. That is the condition of much of the modern Church. The buildings look wonderful. The people come and enjoy their time singing and fellowshipping together, but they are going nowhere. This is a pity.
In Acts 13:2 we actually read where the Holy Spirit spoke to the people and gave them direction. As they ministered to the Lord, (worshiped) and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, separate Me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. This is not a suggestion by the Holy Spirit but a direct command of God given through Him. The Holy Spirit actually spoke to these people and told them to do this.
The Holy Spirit had already been dealing with Barnabas and Saul about this Work God had for them to do. The Word from the Holy Spirit brought confirmation to them as to what God had for them. This is the way God works. He will ALWAYS deal with us personally (through prayer and/or His Word) and THEN brings a Word of confirmation through another person or in another way.
When the Holy Spirit brought this Word to them, they were ready to go because He had already prepared their hearts for this specific assignment. At that point, they had to choose to act in obedience or defiance.
This is the way God works in all of us. When we spend time with Him in prayer and the study of His Word, He will reveal to us His Plan for us. Yes, He has a Plan for each of us and if you do not know what that Plan is, perhaps you are not spending enough personal time alone with Him. This time should be spent LISTENING for the Voice and Direction of God and not telling God what you want Him to say. His Plan for your life has already been determined. SEEK Him for that Plan. It is an assignment just for you. No one else can do what God is calling you to do. This is YOUR assignment and it’s just for you.
You are here for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14) Be still and know that I am God. (Psalms 46:10) Blessed is the man who listens to Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors. (Proverbs 8:34)
Shhh. Be still and listen. God is about to……..….turn the tide
