Jude 8  Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.

 

Jude, the half-brother of Jesus, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote twenty-five verses of Scripture on the subject of Apostasy and the infiltration of evil into the Body of Christ. When reading his Words, it is apparent he is speaking of the Church today.

 

Jude wanted to write a nice message about Salvation and the Gospel of Christ, but the Holy Spirit led him in another direction which is a message that every believer needs to hear and understand today.

 

Jude’s writings are a Prophecy of what would happen within the Body of Christ and in fact, is happening today. It is amazing how something written in the year 66 AD would be so relevant to us at this time in history. 

 

Jude makes three comparisons to the apostates. In Verse 5, he compares them to the Israelites who were destroyed for their unbelief.  I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, out of the Land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them who believed not.

 

To further clarify his point, in Verse 6, he goes on to compare them to the Angels who turned from God, came down to earth, and cohabited with women, creating the evil giants that lived on earth at that time. And the Angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the Judgment of the Great Day. You can find this account in Genesis 6.

 

Then, in Verse 7, Jude compares them to those who lived in Sodom and Gomorrah, who, due to their sin, were destroyed by fire. Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

 

The Book of Jude is a picture of the Spiritual Warfare that rages within the Body of Christ today. People who falsely claim to be saved are infiltrating the Church in great numbers. They profess to be believers but have no belief at all and seek only to destroy.  Like the Angels who turned from God, they are cohabiting with women in the Body of Christ, creating evil giants who minister evil to believers. Sex outside of marriage, pornography, and every form of sexual immorality are prevalent in the Church today. The homosexual community is running rampant and demanding a place in Churches. 

 

Jude warned us of the infiltration of the enemy in the Church. Everything he spoke of is happening today, and it seems to get worse with every passing year. However, the Lord will answer just as He did before. Perhaps He sent a part of this answer in the life and death of Charlie Kirk.

 

In all three cases, the Lord destroyed them all and reserved for them a place in Hell where they will spend eternity in torment and fire. God does not tolerate sin. He never has, and He never will.

 

The Word of God tells us to test the spirits of those in our midst. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. (1 John 4:1-3)

 

I implore you to test the spirits. Heed the warning and Prophetic Words of Jude. We are living in the last of the Last Days.
