Benefit Of Restoration

Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

I remember well the first time I drove up to the House of Praise after the fire. I was expecting it to be burned to the ground, but it wasn’t! Both of the piano porches were intact. Most of the house was still standing. From the outside, it appeared that only the west end of the building had been burned. However, when I carefully stepped inside, I found something quite different. There was far more damage than could be seen from outside.

This describes the condition of many born-again believers in Christ. Many Christians are severely damaged on the inside. Their outward appearance seems sound and good, but their interior walls are broken and battered, and the slightest shaking can cause them to collapse.

Jesus chastened the scribes and Pharisees and called them hypocrites! Matthew 23:27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. These men looked good on the outside. The people saw them as righteous and holy, but inside, they were full of dead men’s bones and uncleanness.

This is an accurate description of much of the Church leadership today. These people talk the talk and can put on their Christian face and appearance when necessary, but inside, they have been attacked by the devil and are living quite a different life.

In either case, we find Believers who have not received one of the greatest Benefits in their all-inclusive Believer’s Benefit Package. This is the Believer’s Benefit of Restoration.

Only God can bring Restoration to the beaten-down believer and/or the prideful, legalistic Church leader. God wants to restore us. That is what He does. Everything about God is meant to bring Restoration to broken people. Salvation brings Restoration and Life to the once spiritually dead individual. Healing is the Restoration of the one stricken with infirmity and Deliverance is the Restoration of any and all unrighteousness that we have submitted to.

Restoration is the most powerful, life-changing benefit we have available to us, but we must be willing to listen and accept His Divine Correction and allow the Master to lay His Hands on us. When we humble ourselves and admit we need help, then God can bring the needed Restoration.

Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Jesus died that you may receive Restoration.

The Benefit of Restoration will..........turn the tide .........in your life.

Thank you Jesus!       Doreen
