2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.
In America, we have millions of people living on entitlement programs because they believe they are entitled to something for nothing. Many Americans are asking, "Where and how do people come up with these ideas and develop this mentality?"
America was founded on Freedom. Capitalism is the Freedom to work, find success, start and build a company, and upgrade your lifestyle. Socialism says everyone is entitled to an equal lifestyle.
In past election years, we can see how Socialism is taking hold in America, especially among young people, as they support Bernie Sanders, a self-professed Socialist. How has this happened?
It has happened because back in the 1960s the Bible was closed in our public schools and, unfortunately, in most homes across our great land. After sixty years, we now have an entire generation of people who see themselves as victims of society and therefore entitled to everything they require or want to be provided for them, either by their family or the government.
The Word of God teaches Capitalism. When these principles are no longer taught at home, in school, and in the church, it results in what we have right now in America: A people who identify themselves as victims and deserve everything handed to them for nothing.
Why should they work and try to get ahead? After all, they have been mistreated. Therefore, someone owes them. If their family can’t or won’t provide for them, then the government must provide them with a living. This is the most unscriptural mindset to ever fall on a people, and the only answer is the Word of God.
America MUST return to her foundation. Every American has equal opportunity. They possess God given rights that are protected by our Constitution and laws. Living the American Dream is NOT sitting on your front porch waiting for the mail to arrive with your welfare check and food stamps.
The American Dream is working hard, saving your money, getting ahead, owning your own home, providing for your family, and teaching your children to be good, hardworking, self-sufficient, upstanding citizens of their community, all of which is found in the Word of God.
In the 1960s when the Bible was closed, America started on a downhill path to where we are right now: A nation of victimized people who are lazy and expect someone else to provide for them everything they want. Free, free, free; they want everything for free.
The problem is, it may be free to them, but someone, somewhere, is working hard to pay for it all. They could pay their own way if they understood the Word of God and Capitalism. The Bible says, If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. My friends, there is no "free lunch." Neither is there free housing, food, phones, medical care, education, daycare, or anything other benefits people receive from the government. Nothing in this world is free. Someone is paying.
The only thing that is free is the Gospel of Christ. Perhaps it's time to start giving it out again. Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, (Adam) resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s Righteous Act (Jesus) the Free Gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. (Romans 5:18)
The Free Gift of the Gospel of Christ will……..turn the tide
