Choose This Day

Joshua 24:15 ...choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,

America has always stood for freedom. Our Founding Fathers sought freedom from the tyranny they endured in England. When they arrived in the new world (America), they put their hearts and minds together and, after much prayer and study of the Word of God, came to the conclusion that the ONLY source of true freedom is in Christ.

Faith in Christ and what He did on the Cross can set a person free from any and all bondage. This is the basis for our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence.

Just as every person has the freedom to choose to accept Jesus as their Savior and be welcomed into the Kingdom of God, every person has the right to live a life of freedom. Our Founding Fathers described this in our Declaration of Independence as the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Today, everything America has stood and fought for is on the line. There are two factions at work in our nation today that seek to strip us of our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. They both bring their own laws, which are not founded in Christ and the freedom which comes through faith in Him and the Word of God.  Nor are they compatible with our Constitution.

We stand today at the crossroads. We have a choice to make. We must decide which road we will travel down.

Sixteen hundred years ago, Joshua put before the people a choice. He said, Choose today whom you will serve;  Every American must make that same choice today.

We have three roads to choose from, and we MUST choose one. The roads before us are: Communism, Islam and Sharia Law, and Freedom and Liberty founded in the Word of God.

We have stood at the crossroads long enough. We must make a choice. As I see it, two of the three roads lead to bondage, death, and destruction.

Joshua made his choice. He said, As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. This was the choice our Founding Fathers made when they came together in agreement and framed this nation. It is my choice as well. I say this day, “AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.”

Which road will you choose for you and your house?

When we choose God, He will……..turn the tide

Choice made.      Doreen
