Habakkuk 2:7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?
We discussed this verse yesterday, but due to your responses, we need to delve into it deeper. Please remember, this Prophesy, in the form of a Vision, was given to Habakkuk in the year 626 B.C., but is extremely pertinent to our lives today.
To understand the full meaning of this verse, let’s look at some other translations. The text above is the King James translation, but sometimes the different translations will provide deeper insight.
Will not your creditors suddenly arise? Will they not wake up and make you tremble? Then you will become their prey. New International Version
Suddenly, your creditors will take action. They will turn on you and take all you have, while you stand trembling and helpless. New Living Translation
Will not your creditors suddenly arise, and those awake who will make you tremble? Then you will be spoil for them. English Standard Version
Will not your creditors rise up suddenly, And those who collect from you awaken? Indeed, you will become plunder for them. New American Standard Bible

Won't your creditors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim? World English Bible
The Word is clear and describes those in debt as trembling, helpless, spoil, plunder, prey, victim, and booty. The American Way is to borrow as much as you can as long as you can make the monthly payments. This is foolish! The Word of God warns us about being in debt.
Proverbs 22:7 The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.
Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
If you owe anyone anything, work at paying it ALL off. This includes your home mortgage, vehicle loans, all credit card debt, and any other debt you may have. In these last days, we need to be wise. The Lord has given us His Word to live by. There is no greater source of wisdom. Read the Word of God. Live by the Word of God. Teach the Word of God to your family and friends.
The Word of God will……..turn the tide
Thus says the Lord God Almighty, Doreen
