Clay Vessel

Jeremiah 18:1-4 The Word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause you to hear My Words. Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

The symbols of the potter and the clay represent the believer and the Lord Jesus Christ. We are but a lump of clay until we willingly respond to the call of the Potter, go to His House and with a repentant heart, climb up on the Potter's Wheel and allow Him to lay His Hands on us.

As long as we are willing to remain on His Wheel, He will continue to mold us and shape us into a more useful vessel for His Kingdom.

The door to the Potter's House is always unlocked. Jesus said, Knock and the door shall be opened to you. Once inside, we will find the Potter behind His Bench. He is waiting for a lump of clay to come in and climb up on His Wheel.

In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul shares his testimony of how the Potter transformed him from an ugly, horrible clay vessel full of hate and animosity, into one of the most beautiful vessels ever to be used by God. This is the power of the Potter over the clay vessel.  Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor? (Romans 9:21)

Who among us will answer the Call of the Potter and climb up on His Wheel today? Although we may have been there many times before, there is still more work to be done. The Potters wants to once again lay His Divine Hands on you and do a little more shaping. Will you allow Him to do this?

Only God can reshape a clay vessel. Only God can........turn the tide
